Another unique limited edition of the Fiat 500 has been announced. Two hundred of the new model will be available when the Fiat 500 BlackJack goes on sale this week. Prices start at £12,165.

Based on the 1.2 and 1.4 Sport specification, the Fiat 500 BlackJack features individual matt black paint finish, mouldings, door handles, door mirrors and plate holder in metallic effect, 16-inch alloy wheels in matt black with red coach line, red brake callipers (1.4 only) and special carpet mats.

The Fiat 500 BlackJack will feature Fiats start/stop which stops the engine automatically whenever traffic conditions bring the car to a complete halt and restarts it immediately when the driver moves off again. The matt black supermini is one of several exciting Fiat 500 limited editions being introduced this year and is the first in this segment to offer the special paint. “The paint finish is the most striking feature of this new limited edition,” says Elena Bernardelli, marketing director, Fiat Group Automobiles UK and Ireland. “It has previously been a characteristic of new supercars, and gives the Fiat 500 a stunning new image. I am sure the BlackJack will be a huge hit with Fiat 500 fans.”

We all know that there are many Japanese cars that appreciate in value (Nissan Figaro , Pao etc) and all Japanese Imports are better value than UK cars but what about the UK’s cars that depreciate the lease? Auto trader have compiled a list of the UK top 10 cars that loose the lease value after being driven off the forecourt

Audi A3 hatchbacks hold their value better than any other used , according to a study released today by Auto Trader.

The average price of an Audi A3 bought new in 2009 fell by just 7 per cent in the period to July 2010. Second place went to the Vauxhall Corsa, which dropped by 10 per cent.

The report analysed the top 10 best-selling cars in the UK in 2009 and compared their purchase price when new to the prices advertised on Auto Trader in July 2010.

Britain’s biggest selling car of 2009, the Ford Fiesta, ranks fifth, dropping by 26 per cent, while Ford Focus – voted by Auto Trader.co.uk readers as the car of the decade – dropped by 39 per cent.

The research shows used car values are not driven solely by the original price, with the Audi A3 and Vauxhall Vectra Life both costing for around £16,000 when new.

Nine of the top 10 cars in the list have lost less than half of their value over the period when cars shed more of their new price than at any other time

Top 10 used car price winners:
1. Audi A3 7 per cent
2. Vauxhall Corsa 10 per cent
3. Honda Jazz 18 per cent
4. Peugeot 207 20 per cent
5. Ford Fiesta 23 per cent
6. Volkswagen Golf 26 per cent
7. Vauxhall Insignia 34 per cent
8. Ford Focus 39 per cent
9. Vauxhall Astra 45 per cent
10. Vauxhall Vectra Life 54 per cent

Rumors of an even more powerful version of the Bugatti Veyron have been around almost as long as the Veyron itself. But after abating for a couple of years, now that the Veyron’s production run is winding to an end, the reports have begun creeping up again.

The gossip suggest that the Bugatti will send off the Veyron with a final run tuned to 1,200 horsepower, trimmed of 300 kilograms (660 pounds) of excess weight and capable of hitting 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in 2.2 seconds en route to a 425 km/h (264 mph) top speed.

Reports further suggest that the ultimate Veyron will revive the SuperSport label used on the most powerful version of the 90s-era EB110 and the 30s-era Type 55. Only 30 examples are said to be in the pipeline, each carrying a €1.5 million ($1.8M) price tag. Sources expect the Veyron SuperSport to make its debut at the upcoming Paris Motor Show in the Fall, so truth or speculation, we’ll find out one way or another in a few months.

Have a great week and enjoy our cars and news.

Toyota said recently that it plans to offer a hydrogen fuel cell car for a price of around $50,000. Toyota’s claim is that it figured out a way of cutting the cost of hydrogen fuel-cell cars by 90 percent, bringing the future cost of fuel cell cars crashing down into a tier where many Americans will be able to afford them. To deliver that cost savings, Toyota has cut out some of the platinum involved in the fuel cell manufacturing.

Toyota’s first hydrogen fuel cell vehicle will be a sedan that is expected to launch in 2015.

2010 Toyota Prius

Since the debut of the second-generation Toyota Prius in 2003, the quintessential gas-electric hybrid has risen from a niche product to become Toyota’s third-best-selling model in the United States. The car inspires a cult-like devotion from its drivers. Satisfaction rates, consistently at about 98 %, are unparalleled.

The third-generation 2010 Toyota Prius, officially unveiled at the Detroit auto show in January 2009, went on sale last April. The updated Prius is bigger and more powerful. The engine grew from 1.5 liters to 1.8 liters—giving a boost in horsepower from 110 to 134, and thereby reducing zero-to-60 time by a full second. In addition, the body is about four inches longer and about an inch wider. Despite the added power and size, the 2010 Toyota Prius becomes the only vehicle available today to offer 50 miles per gallon in combined city/highway driving.

Bells and Whistles

The previous Prius had loads of gizmos—including keyless entry, joystick shifter, high-tech energy monitor, and a rear-view camera system. Toyota throws even more technology at the new model.

For the first time, the Prius offers a moonroof and heated seats. The sliding glass moonroof, packaged with a slick-looking solar panel, provides power to a new ventilation system that doesn’t require help from the gas engine. Not only does the AC system keep the interior air temperature from heating up when the vehicle is parked (thus reducing the time/energy needed to cool things down), the system can be operated remotely to heat or cool the cabin before getting into the car. (That’s a neat trick even if the rooftop solar panels don’t produce enough energy to power the wheels.)

Three driving modes are now available: Power, Economy and EV. Power improves throttle response; economy reduces throttle response for better gas mileage; and with a flip of the dashboard EV button, the car can go about one mile at low speeds without using any gasoline.

An optional radar system using advanced millimeter waves enables “Lane Keep Assist” to help the driver stay safely within the lane, and the “Pre-Collision System” retracts seatbelts and applies the brakes in certain conditions when a crash is unavoidable. Intelligent parking offers settings to help guide the Prius into parking spaces. A backup monitor, which provides a view of rear obstacles when reverse is engaged, is available with an optional voice-activated navigation system.

The new touch sensor system on the steering wheel helps keep the driver’s eyes on the road. Images of the switches and their positions are shown on the instrument panel directly in front

want a Prius? You don’t have to go fot the new edition to savce sensible money and be greener. Algys Auto Ltd can import any year you wish and any budget to suit…… See our Import Scheme by Clicking Here.
