This is the Nissan Leaf, the car maker’s brand new global, mass-market electric vehicle.
The Leaf will go on sale in the US and Japan next year, and in Europe by 2012. It has an electric motor with 108bhp and 208lb ft of torque, a 100-mile operating range, and will be priced to compete with well-equipped C-segment saloons, at around £20,000.
Algys Autos Ltd will be working hard to import these cars into the UK below these prices…….No change there then!!

It appears the UK is bracing itself for more of the same year on year and too many people have been hit by isolation and dangerous driving conditions in their conventional family saloon and so people are buying a good reliabe 4×4 as a second car.
The obvious source is from Japan where the cars are not exposed to salted roads and hence NO rust! We have seen a huge upsurge in demand and even includes the Bristish Landrovers being re-imported to the UK from the far east!!
Its not just luxury 4×4 people are buying but also workhorses and cheaper runabouts as well.
